Contemporary extension to period property, Bangor, Co Down
McCann Moore Architects have secured planning approval for a contemporary extension to a period home in Bangor.
Period home extension in South Belfast
This South Belfast project brings a contemporary new living space to a beautiful period home. The extension opens up into a bright, open-plan kitchen, living and dining area with extensive glazing and dark cladding that sits confidently against the original house.
Inside, Crittall-style glazed doors connect old and new, letting you move naturally between the high ceilings and period details of the original rooms and the clean, light-filled spaces beyond.
Outside, a covered portico creates a sheltered seating area that extends the living space into the garden all year round.
