This project was a careful restoration and modern extension of a beautiful period home in Sandycove. Our aim was to blend the charm of the original Victorian architecture with the comfort and ease of contemporary living.

We restored key original features like ornate cornices, sash windows, and decorative plasterwork, helping bring back the house’s original character. At the same time, we added a bright and modern rear extension that opens up the ground floor and fills the home with light.

The new spaces include open-plan living areas, a high-spec kitchen, and luxurious bathrooms—designed for modern life but always in tune with the old house. Materials and detailing were carefully chosen to complement the existing building while improving energy efficiency and sustainability.

The result is a home that feels timeless—full of character, but perfectly suited to contemporary family life.
